Jettie Andrew Boyd Jr., 88, of Florence, passed away on March 04, 2019 at his residence. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club, the American Legion, the Korean War Veterans Association, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He earned the Purple Heart and the Korean War Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 06, 2019 from 12 Noon -1:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Sonny Owens officiating.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jettie Andrew Boyd, Sr.; mother, Odelle Wallace Call; daughter, Kathie Turner; granddaughter, Deidra Turner Byars; grandson, Joey Duke; brother, Mackey Boyd and sisters, Helen Young and Mary Dean Box.

Survivors include his loving and adoring wife of 64 years, Bobbie Danley Boyd of Florence; daughters, Shelane Duke (Jimmy) of Waynesboro, TN, and Linda Varner (Keith) of Florence; grandchildren, Doug Duke (Kelly), Jason Duke (Jessica), Samantha Clanton (Perry), Cassie and “Boomer” Hanback; great-grandchildren, Marie, Dillon, Madison (Tyler), Megan, Kaylee, Jakob, Savannah, and Andrew Clanton; great-great grandchild, Kaya Clemmons.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Duke, Doug Duke, Jason Duke, Boomer Hanback, Perry Clanton, and Tinker Boyd.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Keith Varner.
