Maxie Cayson – Obituary

Maxie Cayson, 80, passed peacefully from this life Sunday, March 3, 2019, at the Sanctuary Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Tupelo, born August 1, 1938 to W.L. “Jack” and Mary Ruth Christian Cayson. He graduated from Tupelo High School and attended Mississippi State University. He served in the MS National Guard. He work many years for Weatherall’s and Jesco as a Machine Maintenance Technician and was a car salesman for Roper Toyota. He was a member of Auburn Baptist Church. He was a avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed flying remote control airplanes and anything to do with airplanes.

There will be no service. Visitation will be 1 – 3 Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Auburn Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Wesson Cayson of Tupelo; two sons, Stephen Cayson (Polly Ann) of Huntsville, AL and David Cayson (Stephanie) of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Alex Cayson, Maggie Cayson and Emma Cayson; one sister, Cyndi Cayson of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House
