HUNTSVILLE – The final group of soldiers in the 115th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, arrived in Huntsville at midday today. The 300+ soldiers marched in formation to greet their friends and families who were there with signs, ribbons, smiles, and even a few new babies.
The Battalion was based at Khandahar, Afghanistan for the past year. The unit is comprised of A Company.Florence, B Company, Sheffield and Haleyville, and C Company, Huntsville and Moulton.
The Quad-Cities Daily was there to photograph the homecoming. These photos are suitable for printing on your photo printer or at a photo kiosk. So make yourself a copy to remember the day. These photos are free to reproduce for NON-COMMERCIAL USE only.
Since there are so many photographs, we are breaking them up into several pages over the next couple of days, so check back if you don’t see who you’re looking for in the first batch or two.. You can find the pages under the “Event Photos” menu button just below the masthead.
Additionally, we are processing the video of the return, and should be able to publish it Thursday.
