Austin Tucker – Obituary

 Austin TuckerOn February 21, 2019, Austin Tucker, went to be with our Lord. Austin was born on February 18, 1998 and was raised in Athens, Alabama. He was a member of the Athens Swim team, Athens HS band, President of the Alabama FCCLA. After graduating high school with honors, Austin followed his dream to serve our country as a Marine Raider in the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operational Command. Austin loved his family and friends and he considered it an honor to be a Marine Raider. In his 21 years Austin touched so many lives. He is known for his love, loyalty to others, engaging smile, and his contagious laughter. Austin’s memory will live on in everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his parents Jeannette and Joe Tucker Atchley and Rebeca and Will Tucker Clark. As well as his brother, Alex Tucker and sister, Emerald Neary. Austin has a great grandmother, Nancy Orozco; grandparents Larry and Patty Kimm. Great Aunts and Uncles, Marty and Dolores Hernandez, Mike and Cathy Hanlon, Carmen and Carlton Tedrick, Nina and Larry Eaton, John and JoAnne Orozco, Mary Orozco, and Anne Baham. Uncles and Aunts, DJ and Kim Tucker, Robert and Kristy Tucker. As well as many cousins in several states, and countless dear friends.

A celebration of Austin’s life will be held on March 2nd at 4:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama. Visitation is from noon – 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in honor of Austin to the Marine Raider Foundation to assist other Marine Raiders and their families.
