Frances Burns Beaver – Obituary

F 2.26.19 Frances Beaver.jpg Frances Burns Beaver, age 74, of Florence, passed from this life on February 24, 2019. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27th from 3 to 5 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Terry Stubblefield officiating.

Fran graduated from Cullman High School in 1962, and married the love of her life, Clyde “Bucky” Beaver, on February 16, 1963. She was a very talented artist who mastered glass painting, ceramics, and painting with watercolors and acrylic. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Nilma Burns; sister, Delores Burns Blalock (Ralph); and brother, Alan Burns, Sr.

Survivors include her loving husband, Clyde; children, Karen Ritter (Phillip) of Florence, Clyde R. Beaver, III, of Mexico City, Mexico, and Dan Beaver of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Cliff Ritter of Birmingham, and Olimpia Beaver of Homestead, FL; sister-in-law, Ella Marie Burns; three nieces and one nephew.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Mitchell-Hollingsworth, Station 500, and to Denise James and the staff of Community Care Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund or the Garden Fund at First United Methodist Church, 415 N. Seminary Street, Florence, AL 35630.

Those who knew Fran know how much she loved life, gardening, decorating and art. She will be missed by all who knew her. You may sign the guest register at sprywilliams.com
