Mildred Hester Lipford Cregeen – Obituary

Mildred Hester Lipford Cregeen , 97, passed on from this life on Monday, February 25, 2019. She was born September 17, 1921 in Monroe County, the daughter of the late Earl and Louise Mundy Hester. She lived most of her life in Lee County and was a member of the Oak Valley Christian Church in Palmetto. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, William (Bill) Cregeen and tending her roses at her home in Shannon.

Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny Horton officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She will be missed by her children, Bob Lipford (Glenda) of Corinth; Nancy Yates of Germantown, TN, and Pat Lathum (Jimmy) of Starkville; step son, Donnie Cregeen (Maynette) of Corinth; a sister, Linda Faye Thompson of Saltillo; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Adrian (Pete) Hester; her sisters Juanita Ilk and Virginia Scruggs; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Isabella Van Sickle

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
