Jackie Wayne Dean, 78, of Iuka, Mississippi, finished his journey on this earth and went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Jackie was born on December 26, 1940. Throughout his life, Jackie work 20 plus years as an Operations Engineer at USS-Agri Chemicals in Cherokee, AL. He pastored several churches in the area throughout the years and had a long running radio ministry many years with WTIB Radio Station in Iuka. He was known to us as Jackie, Honey, Daddy, Popa Jack, and King Crappie. He loved his family, being outdoors, and sharing flowers from his yard with his wife and family, and enjoyed crappie fishing, especially with his grands. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2019 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandson in laws, Payton Brown, Jacob Carr, Greyson Wilkins, Dustin Devers, Jeremy Johnson, and Josh Mitchell. Honorary grands are Malachi Wilkins, Griffin Dean, and Josh Mitchell. Visitation is scheduled for 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Visitation will continue Friday, March 1, from 11am until the time of service. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years, Jane Dean; four children, Sabrina Carr of Iuka, Diava Dean Wilkins Carpenter of Iuka, Lorrie Brown of Oxford, and Marq Dean of Seattle, Washington. He had 8 precious grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Addy Brown Devers, Hannah Carr Mitchell, Payton Brown, Jacob Carr, Greyson Wilkins, Millicent Brown Johnson, Malachi Wilkins, and Griffin Dean. He also had 4 great grandbabies, Lilly Johnson, Brantley Johnson, John David Devers, and Elouise Jane Wilkins, and anticipated with joy the birth of 2 more. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Hester and brother, Tommy Dean, both of Iuka. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.D.
