Mrs. Clark was born on February 10, 1957 in Huntsville, AL to Betty Jo Coggin Killian and the late Bernice Elbert Killian. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Athens State University, taught kindergarten at Madison Cross Roads Elementary School, and retired from the Madison County School System. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and loved singing in her Heart of Praise group. Mrs. Clark passed away on February 20, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Dr. Fredric Hallie Clark; mother, Betty Jo Coggin Killian; daughters, Delia Jo Ramsey of Nashville, TN, Karen Elisabeth Bracken of Huntersville, NC, Dr. Sheri Lyn Clark (Larra Jesmer) of Phoenix, AZ, and Kimberly Ann Clark of Fayetteville, TN; grandson, William Alexander (Amanda) Vaughn; great-grandsons, Abram Clark and Aiden James Vaughn; brother, Elbert Wayne Killian; plus several nieces and nephews; extended family; and farm babies.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, TN. In honor of Mrs. Clark’s memory, the family requests that guests attending the visitation and service wear something in her favorite, signature color easily known to all she met – purple.

Known for her constant smile, grace, faith, and sparkling blue eyes, some of Rinda’s greatest passions were teaching and nurturing babies and children – many recall her reading and gifting books to any child she knew. In that spirit, in lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Imagination Library, https://imaginationlibrary.com/shop#!/DONATE/p/40065381/category=10557183, or Trinity Baptist Church Madison’s playground fund, 1088 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758, in her honor. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Rinda Jo Killian Clark.
