Jimmy Dan South of Michie, TN was born December 26, 1939 in Michie, the son of the late Kirk and Ruth Browder South. He was united in marriage to Elna Jo Larue on August 5, 1964.
Mr. South was retired from Magnetek Century Electric. He was a member of Michie Primitive Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishng, gardening and working in the yard. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Mr. South departed this life on February 19, 2019 in Corinth, MS at the age of 79 Years, 1 Month, 24 Days.
He is survived by his wife Elna Jo South of Michie, TN; a son, Kerry Daniel South and girlfriend Jennifer Sartin of Michie, TN; a brother, Joe South and wife Carole of Michie, TN; a sister, Sylvia Suitor and husband Jerry of Kossuth, MS; a brother-in-law, Troy Gilmore, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. South was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Bess Gilmore and Ina Ruth South.
