Linda Dianne Mims Linda Dianne Mims, age 60, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

Dianne was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother; and a caring friend to all. She dedicated 35 years to working as the secretary at Tharptown Junior High School. She was a devoted Alabama fan, Roll Tide. With that in mind, the family asks that you wear your favorite Alabama attire to the visitation and service.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jeremy Seal officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Thelma (Robinette) Murray; nieces, Brooke Murray, Haylie Murray; and great-niece, Aubrie Calhoun.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 39 years, Jimmy Mims; daughters, Heather Mims (husband, Marcus), Alisha Swinney (husband, Rodney); grandchildren, Nicole Bailey (husband, Hunter), Jessica Swinney, Thomas Swinney, Landon McClellan; great-granddaughter, BreAnna Bailey; brothers, Ricky Murray (wife, Carol), David Murray (wife, Jean), Mark Murray, Michael Murray (wife, Kathryn), Chris Murray; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The pallbearers will be Dustin Murray, Matt Murray, Grayson Murray, Hunter Godsey, David Gibson, Ryan Murray, Kaleb Bearden, Jake Bearden, and Thomas Swinney. The honorary pallbearer will be Landon McClellan.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Helen Keller Ambulance Service, Russellville Fire Department, Decatur Morgan Hospital CCU Units and to all of the doctors and nurses. Also a special thanks to Melanie Malone, Alacare Home Health, and a very special niece, Johnnie Faye Brazell for your love and care.
