Brent BordenBrent Borden, age 50, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Brent was born on Saturday, June 22, 1968 to Roy Borden & the late Mary Fay Bailey in Kansas City, KS. His final days were spent peacefully with his family and friends under palliative care at North Alabama Medical Center.

Brent was known for his contagious sense of humor, love for music, and Chevy trucks. He was a jack of all trades and a great mechanic. He was a member of My Father’s House Church in Russellville. He was loved by all of his family and friends and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Sister Pearl Shelton officiating the service. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.

Brent was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fay Bailey; brother, William Danny Nichols; niece, Alicia Rashelle Borden; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Rufus Riley Bailey and Mr. & Mrs. Boss Borden.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Roy Borden of Mt. Hope; son, Jakob “Jake” Brent Borden (wife, Kesha) of Russellville; and two grandsons, Drayven Borden and Cole Borden. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeannie Hill (Randul) of Moulton, Mike Nichols, of Moulton, Becky Gober (Dean) of Birmingham, Janice Rae Wells (Donnie) of Trinity, Brian Borden of Moulton; and several nieces & nephews.

The pallbearers will be Tyler Pitt, Steve Lee, David Hallman, Willie Roberts, Aaron Borden, and Jneal Frost.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
