Gene A. Putman, 80, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, February 14th, 2019. Mr. Putman was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.
Visitation will be Monday, February 18th from noon to 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home with funeral following in the chapel. Burial will be held in Barkley-White Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Everett, Chris, Greg, Jonathan, Chad and Ricky.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Verlie Covington Putman; wife, Bobbi D. Putman; siblings, Lousie, Jessie Jr., Joyce, Dennis, Nell, Peggy and Doris; and half-sister, Janie. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Putman; sisters, Bobbi and Valerie Lee; half-sister, Frieda, Annette and Cassie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Barkley-White Cemetery maintenance, Florence Animal Shelter or the American Legion Honor Guard.
