William King Toler, Sr. – Obituary

William "Bill" King Toler Sr. Lt. Colonel William King Toler, Sr. passed away on Friday, February 8th, 2019 at Meadowbrook Nursing & Rehab in Pulaski. He was born in Augusta, Arkansas on April 29th, 1933 and was 85 years old.
He was a graduate of Arkansas Tech after immediately graduating he joined the Army where he served two tours as a rescue helicopter pilot in Vietnam and became rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Bill personally fixed breakfast every Sunday for his troops. He was a kind, sweet man, respected everyone, and took care of them. He loved playing bridge and fishing. He was the kind of person you wanted for a step-father, and friend.
A private family service will be held at a later time.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Giles County Veterans Alliance, P.O. Box 1071 Pulaski, TN 38478.
He was preceded in death by his parents William S. and Lela King Toler, brother, Hayden Toler, sisters, Cornell Toler, Lois Jimmerson, and Reva Whitt, and step-daughter, Rendy McAlexander Ellingson.
He is survived by;
Wife, Elizabeth Sue Potter Toler
Son, William Toler, Jr. of Germany
Son, David Toler of Organ
Step-daughters, Roni Curry of Pulaski, Leslie McAlexander of Augusta, AK, Dianne Hall of Atlanta, GA, Shannon McAlexander of Elizabethtown, PA and Angie Norris of Maryville, TN
Step-son, Charles Lawler of New Hope, AL
Numerous Grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews also survive
