Triple Shooting In Tuscumbia…One Dead Two In Critical Condition

TUSCUMBIA-On Wednesday, February 13 there was a shooting near the Willie Green Center in Tuscumbia at East 10th Street and South East Street.

According to Police Chief Tony Logan one man is dead and two others have been injured.  Logan said police received a call around 12:36 PM regarding a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and found a man with a gunshot wound in a car at the scene who was airlifted to Tupelo in extreme critical condition.. Another man was taken to Helen Keller Hospital and was airlifted to Birmingham in critical condition.  The third man was found dead in the woods near the Willie Green Center.

According to Tuscumbia Police all the victims are in there late teens.

Chief Logan says they are not looking for an active shooter at this time.

Authorities are asking  anyone has information on this shooting please to contact the Tuscumbia Police.

Police Chief Tony Logan said a press conference will be called on Thursday, February 14 after they have more information on this shooting.  Names of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Authorities placed area schools on lockdown after a shooting nearby. The lockdown has been lifted.
