Mrs.June Raff Bowes, 95, died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at North MS Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1923, in Chicago, IL to William James Raff, Jr. and Mildred Schwartz Raff. She was married to William T. Bowes. They moved to Tupelo in 1974. She was in banking while living in Chicago and retired in 1981 as a Personal Banker employed by Bank of Mississippi, now Bancorp South.
A Funeral Mass Service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Tim Murphy and Father Henry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to service time Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Hon. Karen J. Bowes, her many caretakers, and staff at AvonLea. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Bowes who died Jan. 24, 2004; brother, William James Raff, III and sister, Leone Coffey.
