Rev. Lonnie Jones age 75, of the Mt. Hebron, Alabama community died on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at his residence.
Service will be held at Two o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Black and Bro Terry Butts officiating. He will lie-in-state at the church from noon until service time on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bro. Jones was born in Alabama on September 23, 1943 to Tamer & Vada Hancock. He was a farmer.
Bro. Jones is survived by his wife: Dorothy Jones of Mt. Hebron, Sons & Daughters-in-law: Bruce & Barbara Jones of Mt. Hebron, Mark & Lori Jones of Horton and Randall Jones of Mt. Hebron, Daughter: Pam Williams of Boaz, Grandchildren: Zach & Shannon Jones, Amber & Jake Ford,Ben & Stephanie McClendon, Jordan McClendon, Kimberly & Brett Self, Matthew & Kendall Jones, Natalie & Coley McWhorter, Dalton & Britney Jones, Reid Jones, Joshua & Bailey Williams, Tyler & Ashton Williams, Hannah Williams, Great Grandchildren: Jakah Ford, Rainbow Jones, Brintly McWhorter, Camreigh McWhorter, Harper Williams, Brothers: Coy Jones, Kenneth Jones, Carl Jones, Sisters: Maglene Gunter, Emeline Garner, Jannie Estes, Willine Bannister.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Tamer & Vada Hancock Jones, 5 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Pallbearers will be Zach Jones, Dalton Jones, Reid Jones, Brett Self, Jake Ford, Tyler Williams, Coley McWhorter.
