Charles W. Skinner – Obituary

Charles W. Skinner, 90, of Iuka, MS, died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.  Mr. Skinner was an educator for 36 years, serving as a teacher, principle, and coach. He also enjoyed bird hunting, farming, gardening, and traveling. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ron Thomas.  Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers include William Skinner, Joseph Skinner, William Lee Skinner, Byron Skinner, Benji Dees, and Tracy Woodruff. Honorary pallbearers include Alvie Blakney, James Andrew Brumley, Harold Booth, and Jerry Skinner.  Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn Skinner; two sisters, Violet Brumley and Veneda Nichelson; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Lillian Bishop Skinner; his sister, Flora Dees; and two brothers, Stoney Skinner and Ferrell Skinner.
