Mrs. Mary Hazel Black, 98, of Athens died Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Limestone Health Facility.
Mrs. Black was born October 1, 1920, in Limestone County. She was a member of Hobbs Street Church of Christ, and she was a homemaker.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Athens City Cemetery. Visitation is from 12 noon until service Saturday at Spry Funeral Home. Survivors include son, Stephen Donald Black; grandchildren, Derek Black, Lisa Fuqua and Nicole Bolduan; great-grandchildren, Lauren Fugua and Brandon Fuqua; great-great-grandson, Samuel Fuqua; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Thomas W. “Sport” Black; and daughter, Sylvia Bolduan.
