Faith NesbittMagdelene Faith Goins Nesbitt, of Killen, AL, left her earthly home to join her Lord and Savior, on February 3, 2019, shortly after her 85th birthday. She was born on January 9, 1934, the first child of six born to Lawrence and Myrtle Lee Goins in Louisville, KY. Faith lived a Godly life and loved her family very much. She was a longtime member of Greenhill First Baptist Church, where she spent many years as a Sunday School teacher and will always be remembered as a fine Christian example. Faith had a passion for reading that she passed on to her children. Her family will cherish the memories of countless hours she spent tending her flower gardens and her love of nature.

Faith was a proud navy wife and mother and will be treasured for the time she spent with her family on numerous Sunday dinners and Walton’s weekends with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Myrtle Lee Goins, her husband of 53 years Jesse Kirk Nesbitt, Jr., her brother Larry Joe Goins, and her sister Sandra Dickerson.

She is survived by her son Rod Nesbitt (Mae Beth) and her daughter Lenora Taylor (Wayne), her grandchildren Angela Nesbitt, Alison O’Reilly (Jimmy), Kirk Nesbitt, Christy Nix (Jared), Laura Hicks (Alan), Amy Malone (Brent), Justin Taylor (Talina), her great-grandchildren Hunter, Andy, Emma, and Jay Malone, Bailey and Tripp Nix, Trey and Harrison Hicks and Liam O’Reilly. She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy Goins (Sandra Sue), Ronnie Goins (Dyann), sister Wanda Richardson (Billy), her sister-in-law Sue Goins, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be at Greenhill First Baptist Church on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 12-2:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Gregg Woodard and Jimmy Goins officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her brother Ronnie Goins and her grandsons Justin Taylor, Kirk Nesbitt, Jared Nix, Alan Hicks, and Jimmy O’Reilly.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at El Reposo Nursing Home and Southern Card Hospice.
