Wallace Ray Cobb – Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Wallace Ray Cobb, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Friday February 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Jon Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cobb was born on September 13, 1935 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Joseph Rayburn and Odessa Moore Cobb. Mr. Cobb was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Jaycees. He was also a 14 year veteran of the Tennessee National Guard.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Gibson Cobb, daughter Kathy (Jack) Parsons of Fayetteville, two sons Mark (Susie) Cobb of Fayetteville, Charlie (Susan) Cobb of Murfreesboro. One sister, Jean Doss of Springfield. Seven grandchildren, Ashley (Gary) Gearhart , Robert Parsons, Rachel (Justin) Koonce, Amy Cobb, J.T. Cobb, Ben Cobb, and Audrey Cobb. Mr. Cobb was proceeded in death by two sisters Weltha Adams and Edna Ellis, four brothers Rayburn Cobb, Joseph Cobb, Ralph Cobb, and Charles Cobb. One granddaughter, Julie Parsons.

Visitation with the family will be Friday February 8, 2019 from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
