Carl Allen Huddleston Jr. – Obituary

The funeral service for Carl Allen Huddleston Jr., age 75 of Lineville, will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery.

Mr. Huddleston passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Clay County Hospital. He was a native of Fairfield, Alabama and a longtime resident of Hueytown but had lived in Clay County for the past 20 years. Mr. Huddleston was an auto mechanic who loved auto racing at local race tracks and the Birmingham International Raceway. He had also worked with the “Alabama Gang” and enjoyed Alabama football. He attended New Beginnings Ministries.

Mr. Huddleston is survived by two sons: Timothy Wayne Huddleston (Tracie) of Ashland and Michael Huddleston (Barbara) of Bessemer; two sisters: Ann Vaughan and Barbara Timbs, both of Lineville; two step-children: Stephanie Beavers and Donnie Price, both of Eastaboga plus numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl Allen Huddleston Sr. and Naomi Earl Barnwell Huddleston; his wives: Patsy Huddleston and Mary Huddleston and four children: Carl Allen Huddleston III, Johnny Bigbee, Joshua Cromer and Tammy Lynn Huddleston.

David Harville, Corey Daugherty, Lee Heath, Kevin Vaughan and Dylan Beavers will serve as pallbearers. The staff of Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
