Funeral services for Ms. Geneva Taylor Harris, age 88, are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, February 3, 2018 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Ms. Harris passed away late Friday, February 01, 2019 in Lexington. She was born November 6, 1930 in Henderson County to the late R. D. “Bud” and Ruby Geraldine Garner Taylor. She was retired from Shelby County Board of Education and was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She loved vegetable gardening, cooking her family, and volunteering or doing for others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Richard H. Harris; two brothers, Elmer and Eugene Taylor; and her sister, Margaret Little. Survivors include her daughter, Kay Harris McPeake (Johnny) of Jackson; one grandson, Mead K. Crawford III (Shray) of Lexington; and four great grandchildren, Christian Holland, Angel, Grace, and Jacob Crawford.
