Barbara Black BroadwayBarbara Carolyn “Spoony” Black Broadway, age 66, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her residence.

“Spoony” was definitely one of a kind. She loved everyone she knew and will never be forgotten.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Ricky Gardner. Burial will be at Jonesboro Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Truman Broadway; son, Dwight Broadway; daughter, Angie Fay Spain; and parents, Arthur & Savannah (Goins) Black.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, DeWayne Broadway (wife, Sonya), Susan Broadway (Ricky), Darlene Broadway (fiance’, Daniel Wallace); daughter-in-law, Angie Broadway; grandchildren, Jessie & George Hammack, Josie & Matthew Mitchell, Savannah & Wesley May, Brandon Cothrum (fiancé, Shelby Hollins), Chase & Darla Green, Mason Broadway, William Shafer, Nathan Gray, Colby Spain; great-grandchildren, Saydie Grace Mitchell, Serrie Faith Mitchell, Selby Rose Mitchell, Brantley DeWayne Cothrum, Gunner Thomas May, Avery Iris May; sister, Mary Berryman (husband, Phillip); sisters-in-law, Fay Black, Ida McClemore; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The pallbearers will be Brandon Cothrum, Chase Green, Daniel Wallace, Manny Wilson, Nathan Gray, and Mason Broadway.

The family would like to extend a special thanks the nurses and staff of Keller Hospice, Dr. Morrow and to the health care workers who took care of our mother and grandmother.
