FLORENCE – Since 1987, Florence, The Renaissance City, has been host to The Alabama Renaissance Faire. Sometimes steamy hot, some years blistering cold, this year’s event was just right. And the large crowd of participants and onlookers touring Wilson Park proved this weekend was a winner.

The Faire is a portrayal of 12th – 16th Century Europe. and as the websire of the Faire says, “Authentic costumes, arts and crafts, and food are all a part of the Faire. Visitors can take part in medieval games and hear musicians playing authentic instruments. Artisans and merchants offer coins of the realm, hand-thrown pottery, jewelry, dried flower wreaths, and many other delights. Magicians, mirthmakers and minstrels wander about in period attire.”

The Quad-Cities Daily was there to capture the event in photos. We hope that you find your photo here! The photos are 4×6 in size and are suitable for printing on any good photo printer, or they may be downloaded and taken to a photo kiosk.
