James A. Bridgmon, age 85, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away January 12, 2019. He served in the United States Army, retired from the Boilermakers Local 27, belonged to Haleyville Masonic Lodge #464, Shriners, Scottish Rite and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Ritchie Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Bridgmon is survived by his children, Michael Jauss, James (Joyce) Bridgmon, Gary (Susan) Bridgmon, Roger (Anita) Bridgmon and Deborah (Robert) Lang; brother, Edgar William Bridgmon; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Julia Bridgmon; wife, Georgia Roberta “Bert” Bridgmon; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; and granddaughter, Hannah Bridgmon.
