Dorothy Wylie Ward, 89, of Birmingham, AL, formerly of Florence, AL, passed away at Rocky Ridge Retirement Home on January 12, 2019. Mrs. Ward was born December 29, 1929, in Florence, AL to Edgar and Kathleen Wylie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Edward Ward.
She is survived by her daughter Shelia Ward Berryhill (Stan); her son Bill Ward (Nita); her sister Virginia May; her four grandchildren: Stephanie Berryhill (Eric Steever); Shay Richards (Wes); Hunter Ward (Carley); Chase Ward (Nadine); 2 great grandchildren: Wylie Steever and Adalyn Richards.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 15th at 3:00 pm in Greenview Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Pastor Brian Hinton of Hunter Street Baptist in Hoover, AL.
