Peggy Cornelius Ferrell, age 81, of Cherokee, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Her visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Rod Stansky officiating. Burial will be in Asphalt Rock Cemetery.
Peggy was a native of Cherokee and retired from Martin Industries. She was a member of Margerum Community Church and a Mary Kay consultant for about 20 years. She was a Christian lady and loved Elvis Presley. She was loved in the community. Peggy loved her family and always found the good in others.
She is survived by her sons, Cary Ferrell and Noel Ferrell (Carol); daughter, Jana Shook (Todd); grandchildren, Tiffany Dostica, Chad Alderman, Summer and Kendall Stanfield, Laken Ferrell, Kaylee Leverett and Ragan Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Bailey Crum, Raylynn Ferrell, Cayson Leverett and Kylee Stanfield; and niece, Bethany Owens.
The family would like to express special thanks to Linda Lambert and Bethany Owens.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Anders and Perry Murphy.
