Versie I. Shields Fish Webb, 92, Bolivar, TN Versie I. Shields Fish Webb, 92, of Bolivar, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabiliation Center in Bolivar.

The widow of Raymond Austin Fish, whom she married on November 15, 1943 and who died in 1977, and Ruble T. Webb, whom she married on July 11, 1977 and who died in 2004, she was a homemaker. She was born Tuesday, June 22, 1926 in Toone, daughter of the late William Meredith Shields and Sadie Sisco Shields and lived all of her life here. Known as the ‘Betty Crocker Lady’ she enjoyed canning beans, gardening, writing poems, quilting and being outdoors. She held her greatest love for her family, who referred to her as a ‘loving mother’. Mrs. Webb attended several churches and was a ‘child of God’.

Survivors include 5 daughters, Wanda Fish Fry (Bob), Betty Cross (Bruce), Melendia Hammons, Deborah Roberts (Buddy) and Cheryl Bullion (Mike), all of Bolivar; three sons, Larry Fish, Sr., of Dunlap, TN, Ray Fish (Wilma) and Danny Fish (Brenda), both of Bolivar; a brother, Wayne Shields of Hornsby; a host of nieces and nephews; 22 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Delta Glynn Fish in 2017; 7 brothers, Austin, Earl, Atlas, Edgar, Deloyd, Arthur and Aubrey Shields; a sister, Mandy Shields Baker; 3 grandchildren, Glynn Fish, Danny Fish, Jr. and David Smith; and two great granddaughters, Laura Jane and Ann Alisa Burrow.
