Jeanette Randall Watson – Obituary

Jeanette Randall Watson died peacefully after a lengthy illness on Tuesday. Jeanette and Dr. Al Watson have been residents of Huntsville since 1955. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Al; children, Emily, Allyson, Wendy, Laura and Randy; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first grandchild, Ryan.

Jeanette was involved in many activities. With four girls, she was a continuous Girl Scout leader. She was active in the Women’s Guild of the Huntsville Museum of Art, and was a docent there for many years. She was loved by many for her kindness, loving attitude and volunteerism. She had a love for reading and participated in many book clubs. Jeanette traveled extensively all over the world. She and Al were members of First United Methodist Church since first coming to Huntsville, where they had many wonderful, long-lasting friendships. She was the glue to the family and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 11 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Coy Hallmark and Dr. Glenn Conner officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
