Charlotte Dalton died peacefully a few days short of her 97th birthday. A native of Germany, life brought her to the U.S., where she married Charles Dalton and settled in Huntsville, where Charles pursued his career with NASA. This brought her the joyful circumstance of becoming friends with the many German families in Huntsville. She was among the founding members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and a resident of Huntsville for 63 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and son, Eric, she is survived by her daughter, Karla Pinyerd (Mark), and daughter-in-law Melanie Dalton. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all local, include Case Dalton (Gena) and their children, Charlotte and Abigail; Candice Quinn (William) and their children, Connor and Corbin; Charles Dalton; and Louise Schlenker.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
