Merrel David Nixon, 67, of Albertville, AL passed from this life on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Albertville Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Martling Cemetery. Terry Harvel will officiate. Pallbearers will be JJ Hershberger, Donnie Humphries, Shannon Nixon, Frankie Hershberger, TJ Jachimiak. The family will visit with friends Monday, January 7, 2018 from 5 PM-7 PM at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown. Preceded in death by mother, Jewel Dale peppers Nixon, father, Jesse James Nixon, sister, Clara Weaver Rooks, brothers, Roger Nixon, Verbon Nixon, Glendell Nixon. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Nixon, daughter, Pamela Nixon, sister, Ann Hershberger Hamilton, grandchildren, Leah Nixon, Jacob Shepherd, Mason (Bubba) Shepherd, 5 nieces and 4 nephews, special relative Wesley Shepherd. Merrel and Brenda Nixon are long time members of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
