Long-Hodges-Lowe VFW Auxiliary Post 8640 Honors Members

SHEFFIELD-On Saturday, January 5, 2019 the Long-Hodges-Lowe VFW Auxiliary Post 8640 held a dinner to honor some of the oldest and most revered members of the Post.

Post 8640 located in Sheffield, Alabama honored three of their oldest members John T. Hampton, 98 WWII veteran, Vinson Perkins (deceased) first post commander a WWII veteran, and Ross Hammond, WWII veteran were honored with plaques.  Nancy Darby, Josie Stalling, Elaine Mokuwme, Betty Grimes and Sabina Hampton were all honored on Saturday night with certificates of service. Mary Stevens served as Master of Ceremonies for the dedication to the members.
