Florence Police Make Arrest….Burglary In Progress

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement on Monday, January 7 in regard to a burglary called tha the department received on Friday, January 4:

“On 1/4/19 patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of Decatur Ave in Florence to a burglary in progress call. When officers arrived, the home owner was standing in his yard and stated that someone was inside his home.

The home owner stated that his door was forced open and damage was done to it. Officers made enter and found Marty Baskins inside. When officers ordered him to come out he attempted to exit the home. Officers were able to stop him and take him into custody. The home owner did not know Mr. Baskins.

Mr. Baskins is charged with Burglary 3rd, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, and Theft.”
