F 1.6.19 Larry Puller.jpg Lawrence “Larry” Puller, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at his home in Vestavia Hills. He was born August 8, 1944, in Florence, Alabama.

He attended Coffee and Central High Schools and was a graduate of The University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. He retired from Monarch Tile, Inc., Florence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Lawrence Puller and Grace Eleanor Davis; stepfather, Van Jefferson Irons.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Mason Puller; daughter, Heather Puller (Danny) Jenkins; granddaughter, Haley Jenkins; his extended family that he loved dearly, Sheri (Doug) McLaughlin and their children Kayla, Madison, and Allison; Jill (John) Yelverton and their children Isla and James.

Larry will be remembered by his family and many wonderful friends as a gentle and loving soul with a zest for life, and never an unkind word for anyone. He truly understood how to love, and he lived to spread happiness. He was a true gentleman with an honest, genuine charm, and he loved to entertain, especially when he could fire up his Big Green Egg before an Alabama football game. Larry was an outstanding husband, father, Poppi, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
