Funeral service for Amanda Sue Marino, age 38, of Decatur, will be Friday, January 4, 2019, 4:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Queen officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service.

Amanda was granted her shimmering angel wings on December 29, 2018. She was born in Phoenix, AZ. She and her brother, Bill, lost their birth mother, Deborah Morgan, at a young age, and continued their life’s journey with adopted parents, Fred and Dale Ray, in Speake, AL.

After graduating from high school, Amanda continued her education and passion to help others in the medical field as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, saving lives and touching hearts.

While her passage was considered too soon by many, those who were touched by her beautiful existence, understood that quality of time far exceeded quantity. Her radiant glow, infectious smile, and ability to comfort others brought so much joy into this world. She could make any stranger a friend, and was a loved and adored wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and medical professional.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Brian Marino; son, Cade Jenkins; stepsons, Kyle and Cole Marino; adopted parents, Fred and Dale Ray; brother, Bill LaPradd (Mandy); adopted brothers, Michael (Lisa), Shane, and Clint Curtis; cousin, Reagan Dildine (Perry); aunt, Brenda Garza (Roy); and several other uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

While Amanda has left this earth, she will most definitely sparkle on forever.
