Edwin Leslie Marston – Obituary

Edwin Leslie Marston left this world to join his Savior on the 1st day of January 2019.

 

Edwin was born in Lawrenceburg, TN in 1927. He felt the call to Christian ministry after working many years at A&P in the Quad Cities area. Edwin faithfully served the Lord in gospel ministry as pastor of churches in Tennessee, Texas and Alabama. Always possessing a heart for missions, he loved to share the good news of the Gospel to all who would listen. His love for God was his legacy to his family and everyone that knew him.

 

Edwin will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Barbara Inman, his two grandchildren Chris (Brooke) Inman and Holly (Chris) Smith, his five great-grandchildren (Parker, Caidlea, Madeline, Isabella, and Emmaline), his sister Gloria (Charles) Boyd, and brother J. Kenneth Marston Sr. Edwin was preceded in death by his wife Berniceal Marston in 1985 and his wife Faye Marston in 2013.

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials may be directed to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention or the American Cancer Society.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5th, at 1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home in Florence, AL. The family will receive visitors at noon, one hour prior to the funeral. There will be no graveside service.

 

Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
