Mr. Bill Haraway age 82 of Athens, AL passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Haraway was born on April 28, 1936 to Elbert Haraway and Alma McNatt Haraway.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Betty Lou Haraway.
Mr. Haraway is survived by one daughter, Myra Moss of Athens, AL; three sons, Chris Haraway, Shannon Haraway (Jennifer) and Jeremy Haraway (Rachel) all of Athens, AL; ten grandchildren, Brittany Dunham, Brooke Moss, Preston Moss, Jewel Jones, Alysa Haraway, Leighann Haraway, Madyson Haraway, Trenton Pinson, Colton Haraway and Harlee Haraway; three great-grandchildren, Brantley Dunham, Walker Dunham and Isabelle Dunham and one sister, Barbara Hardaway.
Mr. Haraway was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and talking with people. He loved working at the store.
Services for Mr. Haraway will be at 11:00AM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jessie Littrell and Mike Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Preston Moss, Matthew Sanders, V.J. Hardaway, Dwight Ezell, Phillip Wood and Mark Dunham.
