LouElla Donald Brown LouElla Donald Brown, 97, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. She was born August 25, 1921, in Dorsey to Will Jackson and Willie Lee Sims Donald. She was a founding member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed canning, quilting, cooking for her family and friends, and talking about the Lord.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Loyd Minor and Bro. Grady Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Samuel “Sam” Brown and David R. Brown (Pat), both of Mantachie; two daughters, Judie Stewart of Mantachie and Helen Wilemon (Randy) of Fulton; one sister, Ruth Rasberry of Tupelo; six grandchildren, Christi Nanney (Michael), Beverly Gammons (Chad), Ray Stewart, Corey Moore (Brittany), Chanda Hester (Coty), and Anna Beth Thomas (Justin); four step-grandchildren, Michael Poteet, Carrie “Sissy” McCoy, Matt Wilemon (Bethany), and Mike Wilemon (Hannah); 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wilburn Ray Brown, who died June 21, 2005; her parents; two sisters, Syble Burcham and Trannie Mae Gillentine; six brothers, Talmadge, Murl, Oswald, Audry, Trent, and James T. Donald; an infant brother and sister; and a daughter-in-law, Teressa Brown.

Pallbearers will be Corey Moore, Johnny Easterling, Ray Stewart, Trey Nanney, Charles Gillentine, and Melvin Donald. Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 4, at the funeral home in Mantachie.

The family wishes to thank the many caregivers throughout the years who lovingly cared for Mrs. Brown.
