J.D. Berryhill – Obituary

J.D. Berryhill, 72, of Tuscumbia passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at Vandiver Hollow Baptist Church with the service to follow at 2 p.m. Brother Steve Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery. J.D. was a Veteran of The United States Marine serving during the Vietnam War for fourteen months. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the Iron Workers Local 477 and a Mason Local # 503.

He is preceded in death by his fathers, Dolphus Edmon Berryhill and Raymond Berryhill; mothers, Irene Berryhill and Christine Berryhill; seven siblings, Tencie, Clarie-Gene, MaryAnn, Bobby Joe, Gertie, Louis, and Harland.

He is survived by his son, Devin Berryhill (Jessica); daughters, Mendy Palmer (Tim), and Keitha Campbell (Jesse); grandchildren, Miles, Drew, Kennedy, Tyson, Ashton, Carter, and Ethan; great grandchildren, Rylee-dru and Mark Rylan; sisters, Marilyn Williams (Steve), Lyla Bailey (Jimmy), and Kim Michael; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Tim Palmer, Jesse Campbell, Dylan Montgomery, Carter Berryhill, Miles Nesbitt, Drew Childers, and Tyson Childers.
