Iva Patterson was born on December 7, 1931, the daughter of the late Lawson and Earline Simons Hinton. On June 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to Herbert Patterson, who preceded her in death on February 3, 1994. Mrs. Patterson departed this life on December 25, 2018, at the age of 87 years and 18 days.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of Second Creek Church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed quilting, canning, and gardening. She loved her grandchildren and delighted in sending cards to everyone.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her children, Doris Hauck, of Cherokee, Alabama and Robin Patterson and wife Heather, of Waterloo, Alabama; grandchildren, Natasha Benson and husband Rocky, John Morris, Brett Patterson; step grandchild, Kathy Hauck; great-grandchildren, Chase McGee, Tristan Morris, Haley Morris, Logan Morris, and Kaycen Morris; great- great-grandchild, Jaxon McGee; special German son, Marco Brun, of Radebeul, Germany; special German grandson, Luca Lentwoit; and special caregiver, Michelle McFall.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her stepmother, Effie McFall Hinton and her sister, Pauline McFall.
Services will be held on December 29, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Second Creek Church Of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee, with David Rushlow, Robin Patterson, Marco officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery at Savannah, Tennessee.
