Clema Wooldridge Fay – Obituary

Clema Wooldridge Fay, 82 years old, passed away December 26 at Athens Hospital.

 

Mrs. Fay was born March 27, 1936 in a log cabin on Cairo Hollow Road in Limestone County.  She was a graduate of Athens High School and Athens State College.  Mrs. Fay worked as a nursing assistant at Athens Hospital and in doctor offices for 15 years.  She worked as a social worker and was Supervisor at the Department of Human Resources of Limestone County where she retired after 27 years.

 

Mrs. Fay was a member of the church of Christ all her life and attended Rogersville Church of Christ.  She was a beautiful and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

 

Mrs. Fay was pre-deceased by her parents, Nolan and Viola Wooldridge, one brother, and three sisters.

 

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert T. Fay; her daughter, Renee Rice; son, Eric Rice; stepson, Robert T. Fay, Jr.; and stepdaughter, Robyn Tringali; grandchildren Tyler P. Rice, Nicholas Tringali, Steven Tringali, Katie Tringali, Erica Rice, and Derrick Rice; great-grandson Colton P. Rice; sister, Linda Hill, and four brothers, Alton Wooldridge, Milton Wooldridge, Wayne Wooldridge, and Tommy Wooldridge; nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, from 1-3 pm at Rogersville Church of Christ with the service following at 3 pm.  Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Elkins East Chapel is directing.
