Harry E. Anthony, 73, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018, at his home after a three year battle with colon cancer. He was born December 12, 1945, to the late Orville and Marie Anthony. He was a graduate of Tremont High School, Itawamba Junior College, and Mississippi State University. He married Sue Sheffield on September 4, 1971, and they were blessed with 47 years of marriage. He was a member and deacon of Big Oak Baptist Church. He and Sue owned Tupelo Tractor Sales for 25 years. In later years, he worked at different car dealerships, including eight years with Carlock Toyota. He was always known as an early morning person who enjoyed meeting and talking with people. He was happiest when he was working selling a tractor or car. He was die-hard Mississippi State fan who followed his Bulldogs in every sport. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s ballgames and especially watching his son’s team at North Pontotoc High School play baseball.
