Theda Euline Elkins – Obituary

Mrs. Theda Euline Elkins, 90, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 5-7 p.m. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Brother John Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church and Mrs. Ruth’s Sunday School class.

She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Cobie Craft, of 20 plus years, and Melvin Elkins, of three years; parents, Charles and Hattie Pearl “Granny” Lowery; sisters, Verna Isbell and Helen Posey; and brother, Carl Lowery.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Helen Roehm (Jeremy), of Fredericksburg, Va.; great-grandchildren, Ronan Roehm and Myka Roehm; daughter-in-law, Mary Craft; sisters, Betty Aycock (Harold), from Leighton, and Thelma Hunt (Bob), from Tuscumbia; sister-in-law, Doris Lowery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama in appreciation for their loving care of granny.
