Virginia Sue Dicus Franks Virginia Sue Dicus Franks, born November 29, 1940, entered into her Heavenly home on the morning of December 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clyde Franks, and her only son Jeffrey Carroll Franks, along with multiple other family members she had lost in her 78 years here on Earth.

Born the daughter of Roy and Lota Dicus, Virginia carried many roles in her life: businesswoman, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her most prized title of these, by far, was that of grandmother. She loved her three “girls,” Andrea, Amber, and Alyssa dearly, but nothing could surpass the love she had for her great grandchildren: Casen, Kennady, Lucas, Callee, Greyson, and Coy. She was also very proud of her grandsons, Shane and Lee.

Virginia was the definition of love, always willing to lend anyone a helping hand. She lived her life as a true example of a God-loving Christian woman. Her church and her love of the Lord were the two most important things in her life. Her life was lived faithfully for the Lord, and she never missed an opportunity to worship Him or spread the Gospel. Her love for Jesus radiated through all things she did daily.

Virginia was the center of her family. She loved each and every one of her family members and was the glue that held so many things together.

In addition to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she is survived by 5 sisters: Mildred Holder of Clifton, TN; Mary Pevahouse of Hohenwald, TN; Roberta Brown of Lawrenceburg, TN; Diane Prater and Vallery Battles, both of Clifton, TN; and 1 brother, Jerry Lyn Dicus of Savannah, TN.

“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know dear, how much I love you. So please don’t take my sunshine away.”
