Marion Smith, 75 years old of Decatur passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00 till 8:00 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Lawrence Funeral Home, Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Phillip Wigley officiating. Burial will be in Old Liberty Cemetery.
Marion loved his family and enjoyed his time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife: Audrey Hooper Smith, three sons: Jerry Smith (Karyn), Lamar Smith (Paige), and Michael Smith (Meleah), one daughter: Rita Smith Beddingfield (Terry), one brother: Earl “Buster” Smith, eight grandchildren: Magen, Morgan, Jordan, Madison, Jada, Cade, Aiden and Reed, and three great grandchildren: Katie Rae, Anderson and Asher.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Emitt Smith and Mallie Loosier Smith, three sisters and seven brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Smith, Cade Smith, Aiden Smith, Reed Smith, Andrew Alexander, and Josh Gaines.
The family extends special thanks to Parkway Hospital and Huntsville Hospital.
