Robert Hoyt Britton, 90, of Russellville, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Generations of Red Bay.

Mr. Britton was a member of Belgreen Church of Christ. He was always a hard worker, an avid coon hunter, always had a smile for everyone, and was an honorable man. He loved his sons but most of all, he loved being PaPa to his grandchildren.

The visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Belgreen Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Betty DeVaney Britton; parents, Luther Gilbert and Ollie Hooper Britton; brother, Roy Britton; and sister, Catherine Tompkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Robert Hoyt Britton, Jr. (wife, Teresa), Donnie Ray Britton (wife, Becky); daughter of the heart, Dicey Grissom (husband, Robin); grandchildren, Kristie Alexander (husband, Tony), Charity Britton, Niki Goetze (husband, Chris), Barry Britton, Gena Britton (fiancé, Scott), Kelli Britton (fiancé, Randy); great-grandchildren, Brock Britton, Jayce Phillips, Finley, Gemma and Bowyn Goetze; Kaia, Ivy and Zoe Alexander; brother, L.G. Britton (wife, Doris); sister, Florence Sadler; a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Generations of Red Bay, and to Dicey & Robin Grissom for your love and care of our family. You made being so far away just a little bit easier.
