Linda Marie Grigsby – Obituary

Linda Marie Grigsby, age 66, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at North Alabama Medical Center. Visitation will be today, December 13th from noon to 1 p.m. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1:30 p.m. graveside at Hill Cemetery with Brother Tim Grigsby officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Stella Mae Parrish of Florence; and sister, Debra Parrish Clark of Athens.

Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Grigsby; son, Andy Grigsby; sister, Shirley Rogers (Edward); brother, Randy Parrish (Jackie); nieces, Elizabeth Rogers, Kimberly Boyd (Ryan), Mandy Bourland (Eric); nephews, Matthew Rogers, all of Florence, and Travis Roberson of Stewartsdraft, Virginia. She had four great-nephews and one great-niece.

Linda is a 1970 graduate of Rogers High School. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In 2012, she was our hero when she donated her stem cells to her brother, Randy. Pallbearers will be Edward Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Eric Bourland, and Danny Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel and Dakota Benefield, and Jake Boyd.

A special thanks to doctors and staff at Vanderbilt Hospital, Dr. Bartmess, Amedisys, and others for their loving care of Linda.
