Trueman Lee Whitt – Obituary

Trueman Lee Whitt, 78, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born January 27, 1940 in Choctaw County to Robert and Ophelia Whitt. He served in the Mississippi National Guard and worked for Thompson Machinery for over 30 years, retiring as their service manager. He was a member of Carnation Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.

Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jody Rock officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5 – 7 Tuesday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife Alice Whitt of Okolona; one daughter, Lisa Gardner (Rickey) of Amory; one son, Kenneth Whitt (Toni) of Okolona; one sister, Ruth Franks of North Carolina; two brothers, John Whitt of Athens, AL and Gene Whitt (June) of Okolona; six grandchildren, Mickie Dykes, Jared Harmon, Mindy Minga, William “Buddy” Kennedy, Robbie Whitt and Ashley Ramey; seven great-grandchildren, Bentley Harmon, Kenzleigh Harmon, Grayson Truman Whitt, Marcus Minga, Mason Minga, Alyssa Whitt and Briley Dykes.

Pallbearers will be Jared Harmon, Robbie Whitt, William “Buddy” Kennedy, Howard Rutledge, Jon Davis and Randy Parker.
