Roy H. Franks, 80, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, December 6, 2018, and to a glorious Heavenly reunion with his loving parents, Howell G. Franks and Ruth Senter Franks. He was born November 24, 1938. He was a longtime member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior as a teenager. He was a 1957 graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. He was employed at Mueller Copper Tube in Fulton as Quality Control Supervisor for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and had a love of the outdoors where he enjoyed farming and gardening. One of his greatest joys in life was when his extended family would gather at the family pavilion and park on the waterway on the Franks’ homestead to celebrate any occasion.

Services honoring his life will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 9, at Sandy Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Adams officiating. Graveside services will follow at the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Emily Franks Gray, of Fulton; granddaughter, Kandiace Brown (Kody), of Starkville,; grandson, Kody Gray (Kendra); and grandchildren, Silas and Samuel Gray, all of Fulton. He is also survived by his sisters, Judith Franks and Doris Franks Nail (John); nephew, Jay Nail (Edana); all of Fulton, and niece, Lori Nail Basham (Chris) of Tupelo, great nieces and nephews, Annslee and Cole Basham and Cade and Elyssa Nail.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Garvin Gray.

Pallbearers will be Kody Gray, Jay Nail, Kody Brown, Chris Basham, Keith Johnson, James Jamerson, and Jack Horne.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
