Dillard F. Trussell 78, of Decatur passed away Friday December 7, 2018 at Parkway Medical Center. Mr. Trussell was born May 24, 1940 in Morgan County, Alabama to R. F. and Velma Allred Trussell. He was a member of Central Park Baptist Church, he was a veteran of the US Marines and was retired from Wolverine Tube. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Kay Trussell, one son Ricky Trussell of Augusta, Georgia; daughter Vickie Earwood of Decatur, Alabama; two grandsons, Zachary Trussell of Augusta, Georgia and Joseph Trussell of Madison, Alabama; two granddaughters, Jessica Mitchell (Cody) of Decatur, Alabama and Emma Earwood of Decatur, Alabama. Visitation will be Sunday December 9, 2018 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home followed by a chapel service at 2:00pm with Reverend Jackie Kay and Reverend Matt Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Burningtree Cemetery. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
